In commemoration of the World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2025 under the theme ‘Period Friendly World, the Ghana CSOs Platform on SDGs held a roundtable on 27th May 2025 to discuss Ghana’s national menstrual health agenda, with a special focus on the government’s initiative to distribute free sanitary pads to female students in Primary and Secondary Schools.
The event brought policymakers, educators, youth leaders, development partners, and civil society actors to share insights, review policy progress, and make actionable commitments toward menstrual equity in Ghana.
Civil society pledge their continuous support to promoting proper menstrual health management through service provision, advocacy and monitoring of initiatives so that every girl everywhere in Ghana can menstruate with dignity.
