Ash Foam Ghana redeem rewards to selected winners in 29th GJA Awards

12 selected awardees of the 29th Ghana Journalists Association Media Awards, have received reward packages from Ash-foam Ghana. The Company says the gesture is part of its commitment to supporting excellence in journalism and encouraging hardworking media professionals across the country.

Ash foam made a sponsorship pledge during the Awards ceremony, and arrangements have now been finalized to redeem that promise, following the successful completion of the event. The twelve awardees include GJA/PAV Ansah Journalist of the year, Godwin Asedeba and the best female journalist of the year, Doreen Ampofo. Speaking at a brief ceremony at the Company’s Headquarters in Accra, Head of Marketing and Communications of Ashfoam, Nana Yaw Ampem-Darko Antwi said the kind gesture to the awardees is to motivate them to continue with their good work in all aspects of nation building.

The president of the GJA, Albert Dwumfour commended Ash-foam for the kind gesture and challenged corporate Ghana to support the GJA in appreciating the work of hardworking media practitioners. Mr. Dwumfour also made a passionate appeal to journalists to ”support local businesses to flourish and also position them to give back to society”.

The best female journalist of the year 2024, Doreen Ampofo, spoke on behalf of the awardees, thanking the company for the gesture while calling for protection of local businesses.

The Ghana Journalists Association welcomed the support, saying ”such partnerships help strengthen the media landscape and motivate journalists to uphold high standards of professionalism.
