Ghana’s Ambassador to Japan, Kojo Choi has encouraged the youth to explore the volumes of opportunities available on the African Continent and shape the space to their advantage. He made the point during a visit to the African Continental and Free Trade Secretariat, AfcFTA Secretariat and meeting with Secretary General, Wamkele Mene.
Ambassador Choi noted that as host of AfcFTA, Ghana holds a unique advantage.
AfcFTA connects 1.4 billion people with a combined GDP of over $3.4 trillion. The largest free trade area in the world.
”This makes Ghana the true Gateway to Africa, where businesses can scale beyond borders and investors can access a continental market”, Ambassador Choi posited.
He intimated that Africa’s potential is unmatched.
”Today, 4 out of every 10 people under 20 in the world are African and by 2050, one in four people on earth will be African”.
His opinion is that ”Ghana must leverage the AfcFTA factor to attract more investors and drive transformation”.
Ambassador Choi impressed upon the youth in Ghana to be optimistic about the future.
”To the young people of Ghana, the future is yours to shape”.
”With courage, skills, and integrity, you can rise to lead”, he posited.
Ambassador Choi’s position is that Ghana is not just home of AfcFTA, but Ghana is home of best of the best entrepreneurs”.
He envisages that, Ghana is carrying the hope of our continent,
”Africa is rising and Ghana is the door”, Ambassador Choi noted.
