Ghana marks a significant milestone with the launch of the National Gender Policy 2025–2034. With six strategic objectives, the policy establishes a robust framework to advance gender equality nationwide and strengthen the protection and promotion of women’s rights.
This launch coincides with the national commemoration of International Women’s Day, a global celebration of women’s achievements and a renewed call to accelerate progress toward equality under this year’s theme, Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls.

This support was led by the UNFPA Ghana and UNICEF Ghana, working closely with Government and stakeholders to deliver a policy grounded in evidence, inclusivity, and international best practice.
