The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Maame Efua Houadjeto, has been honoured with the Ghana Women of Excellence Gold Award at the Ghana Women of Excellence Awards, held in commemoration of International Women’s Day 2026.
The prestigious recognition was conferred during the 11th edition of the awards ceremony held at the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel in Accra. The event brought together distinguished personalities, leaders, and advocates for women’s empowerment to celebrate women who have made remarkable contributions to national development.
Mrs. Houadjeto received the honour in the Corporate Communications category, in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the social and economic development of Ghana, particularly through her leadership and strategic communication efforts within the tourism sector.
The award was presented by Dr. Joyce Rosalind Aryee, Executive Director of Salt and Light Ministries, who commended the award recipients for their dedication, professionalism and commitment to advancing national development.
