Ghana steps-up Peace Building in Classrooms
The Western North Regional Peace Council, in collaboration with the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE Gh), engaged students of #Watico Demonstration JHS in a powerful Peace Education and Online Safety sensitization programme on 3rd March 2026.
Students were taken through practical lessons on conflict resolution, responsible behaviour, and internet safety, equipping them with the tools to resolve disagreements peacefully and stay safe online.

Speaking to the students, the Acting Regional Executive Secretary of the Western North Regional Peace Council, Mad. Elizabeth Boduwah, urged them to reject bullying, fighting, and intimidation, emphasizing that schools must remain safe spaces where every student can learn and grow without fear.
The NCCE also educated students on their rights and responsibilities, while highlighting the dangers of cyberbullying and unsafe online behavior.
Through initiatives like this, the Peace Council continues to shape a generation of responsible, peaceful, and digitally aware young citizens.
Peace begins with knowledge. Peace begins with our youth.
