The Volta Regional Peace Council has intensified its peace education and leadership sensitization activities across several Senior High Schools in the Volta Region as part of efforts to promote responsible leadership, discipline, and peaceful conflict management among students.
The sensitization outreach forms part of the Council’s continuous peace education programme aimed at nurturing a culture of dialogue, tolerance, and non-violence within second cycle institutions.

Schools visited during the exercise included:
• Anlo Senior High School
• Atorkor Technical Institute
• Volta Senior High School
• Zion College
• Anlo Technical Institute
• Keta Business College
• Keta Senior High Technical School
During an engagement with students at Keta Senior High Technical School, the Regional Executive Secretary described the school environment as a construction project where every student contributes to building the future.

He explained that when students resort to violence or disrespect authority, the entire educational system within the school weakens, lessons are disrupted, morale declines, and teachers face challenges delivering effectively.
However, he emphasized that peace creates stability, and stability allows students to concentrate and excel academically.
Students were therefore encouraged to choose cooperation over confrontation and to see themselves as builders of a positive academic environment founded on respect, teamwork, and responsibility.
The initiative further strengthens collaboration between the Peace Council and educational institutions to ensure that schools remain safe spaces for learning, leadership development, and character formation. @followers @topfans
