A coalition of African Foreign Ministers, National Security Ministers and Intelligence Chiefs have convened in Accra to deliberate and strategize on a new paradigm for regional security cooperation.

With the Sahel becoming the new global epicenter for violent extremism and accounting for more than half of terrorism related deaths worldwide, it has become most imperative to collaborate on developing potent homegrown solutions that guarantee the protection of lives and the creation of a more secure and stable region.

The outcome document will be presented to a summit of Heads of State later today for their strategic direction and implementation.
