600 million Cedis disbursed to feeding students in six months -Felix Kwakye Ofosu

The Minister of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu says Ministry of Education has rolled out measures to improve the education sector. Speaking to GBC News, Mr. Kwakye Ofosu, said the government has for the past six months, disbursed 600 million cedis to support the feeding of students in schools.

With the decentralization of the School Feeding programme, perishable food items will now be purchased directly from the farmers, while the National Buffer Stock Company will continue to supply grains and other non-perishables.

Mr. Kwakye Ofosu, also announced a 50-million-cedi allocation to the National Research Fund to boost academic and scientific research. He emphasized that these interventions form part of broader government efforts aimed at improving outcomes.
