By Vivian Amoah
GJA Vice President Hopeful, Rebecca Ekpe, and the Current Affairs Officer of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), has officially commenced her campaign for the position of Vice President of the Association. As part of her campaign efforts, she has embarked on a media tour aimed at engaging media professionals and canvassing support for her bid.
She began her tour at the Ghana News Agency (GNA), where she interacted with newsroom staff. During her visit, Madam Ekpe listened to the concerns of journalists and addressed key issues raised by the staff. She emphasized her commitment to promoting the welfare of journalists and strengthening professional standards within the industry.
Following her engagement at GNA, she proceeded to the offices of the Graphic Communications Group, where she continued her outreach efforts using a one-on- one approach. There, she held discussions with editorial staff, responding to questions and outlining her vision for the GJA if elected Vice President. Her campaign message centers on inclusivity, transparency, and capacity-building for journalists across the country.
Madam Ekpe’s tour marks the beginning of what she describes as a “listening and action-driven campaign,” with plans to visit more media houses in the coming days.
