On 2nd May 2025, the Pharmacy Directorate at Korle-bu in Accra organised a send-off ceremony in honour of its former Director, Dr (Mrs) Florence Amah Nkansah.
The ceremony took place at the Bukom Boxing Arena; Mudor Conference Room, to recognise and appreciate her excellent leadership and unwavering dedication during her tenure.
Dr Charles Ofei-Palm, the current Director of Pharmacy, paid a heartfelt tribute, acknowledging her profound impact on the team and the institution for the past 33 years. He praised Dr. Amah Nkansah for her exceptional leadership, commitment, and invaluable contributions to the Department.
Directors from other departments also sent in farewell messages, highlighting her hard work, diligence, positivity, and punctuality. They expressed their gratitude to God for how far He has brought her and joined in celebrating His goodness in her life.
In her remarks, Dr. Mrs. Florence Amah Nkansah encouraged all staff to work diligently and to maintain a positive outlook in all their endeavours.
She expressed her deep appreciation to the current Director of Pharmacy, Dr Charles Ofei-Palm, for his support during her tenure. She also acknowledged her classmates, the surgical team, and the administrative staff of the Pharmacy Department for their roles in making her time a memorable one.
Dr. Mrs Nkansah described the celebration as unique and extended her gratitude to everyone who contributed to its success. She concluded by wishing the team continued success in all their future pursuits.
