The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has met with 71 Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Head of Missions and Consul-Generals across the world. In a virtual Meeting, the Minister described the engagement as very productive.
”Yesterday, I held a very productive virtual meeting with all of our 71 Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Head of Missions and Consul-Generals across the world’ he posted on Face Book on March 14, 2025.
Mr. Okudzeto Ablakwa applauded the team for their distinguished service to Ghana.
Among the issues discussed were. ”President Mahama’s vision, ongoing institutional reforms including creating a delivery unit to improve the performance of the foreign service, KPIs for envoys, strategies to better serve Ghanaians living abroad, passport reforms, conditions and welfare of staff in our diplomatic missions”, he stated.
The Foreign Affairs Minister also urged all the Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Head of Missions and Consul-Generals to be more responsive to ”our compatriots living abroad — Ghanaians out there must truly feel we care for them”, the Minister noted.
He expressed confidence in living up to the mandate given to him by the people of Ghana.
”We shall not fail Ghanaians. Mahama’s reset shall be achieved. For God and Country”.
