The state-of-the-art laboratory, established with support from the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (MahamaCares), is expected to significantly enhance the country’s capacity to diagnose and treat heart disease, stroke and other life-threatening cardiovascular conditions locally.
The facility will reduce the need for patients to seek costly treatment abroad, improve early diagnosis and intervention, and provide advanced medical care for thousands of Ghanaians requiring specialised cardiac services.
The inauguration forms part of broader efforts by the government to improve healthcare infrastructure, expand access to quality medical services and ensure better health outcomes for citizens across the country.
