Council of ECOWAS Ministers opens in Abuja
Abuja, the capital of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is hosting the 95th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Council of Ministers from 10 to 12 December 2025, with several important matters on the agenda.
The Council, comprising Ministers of Finance and Ministers responsible for Integration from Member States, will review a number of key documents, including the final reports of the Extraordinary Meeting of the AFC on positions left vacant following the departure of Category D and P5 staff from AES countries, as well as on the ongoing recruitment process.

It will also consider the report of the 38th Meeting of the Administration and Finance Committee, the report on the Community’s financial situation and the implementation status of the Community Levy by Member States, the 2025 annual reports of the Auditor General and the Audit Committee, among others.
