Vice President Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang has visited Conakry, Guinea to represent His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama at the inauguration ceremony of General Mamadi Doumbouya, President of the Republic of Guinea. The visit highlighted Ghana’s commitment to strengthening regional and historical relations, and to peace and stability within West Africa.
The ceremony was attended by several Heads of State and Government, senior officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and representatives of regional and international organizations.

On behalf of the Government and people of Ghana, Prof. Opoku Agyemang congratulated the President and reaffirmed Ghana’s readiness to work with Guinea to advance regional integration, trade, security cooperation, and people-to-people relations within the framework of ECOWAS and the African Union.
