Vice President Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang has graced the maiden edition of the Regal Film Festival and Awards (REFFA) 2025. It was a pleasant evening that marked the beginning of an important moment for our creative industry.
”It was encouraging to see filmmakers, actors, and creatives from across Ghana and the African continent come together to celebrate talent and excellence” she noted.

REFFA is not only recognizing achievement but also opening doors beyond our borders, positioning African film on regional and global platforms.
The Vice President urged filmmakers and actors, especially the younger ones, to pursue depth, professionalism, and sustainability, not just visibility.
”Our narratives must be told with quality and purpose, and resonate with audiences and markets alike. I also called on investors and partners to take a long-term view of the film industry, as it holds immense potential for jobs, cultural diplomacy, and economic growth”, Prof. Opoku Agyemang reiterated.
She congratulate all the awardees and participants and wish REFFA continued growth as a platform that elevates African narratives and nurtures the next generation of creative talent.
