The Black Stars have arrived in Morocco ahead of Monday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Madagascar.
Ghana’s contingent arrived at the Acharif Alidrissi Airport in Al Hoceima at 16:16 on Saturday afternoon, after a six-hour flight from Accra. Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, Dr. Randy Abbey, and Vice Chairman Stephen Appiah led Ghana’s contingent for the trip.
The team will have one full training session: the mandatory session at the Stade Mimoun Al Arsi in Al Hoceima on Sunday.
Ghana is top of Group I with 12 points following Friday night’s resounding 5-0 victory over Chad in Accra. The four-time African champions are three points clear of second placed Comoros and could gain further ground with win on Monday.
The emphatic win was a much-needed boost for the team, which had been under immense pressure following their failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and a six-game winless run in the qualifiers.
