2025 Budget: This budget is for Makola women, Okada riders and for girls – Mahama Ayariga

Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga has expressed confidence in the 2025 Budget, noting that, it would bring hope and create jobs for the youth.

Mr. Mahama Ayariga, also the Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, while commenting on the Budget following its presentation by Finance Minister Cassiel Ato Forson on Tuesday, said the budget would stabilise the economy, create jobs and create an enabling environment for the private sector to thrive.

“The Budget will deliver solid reforms and move the economy from “galamsey growth to real growth,” he said.

“This is a budget for Makola women, this is a budget for Assembly Members, Okada riders and for girls.

“By the time we finish implementing this budget, )sono b3y3 Kitsikisi, to wit, the elephant will become small,” Mr. Ayariga said, sparking spontaneous laughter among parliamentarians.

The Majority Leader averred that almost every promise the then NDC Flag bearer John Mahama made during the electioneering was being fulfilled in less than 120 days.

The legislator observed that the NDC as a party, whenever it is in government walks the talk and assured Ghanaians to have hope in the Mahama-led Government to redeem its promises to the pe.

The presentation of the budget comes on the heels of an economic dialogue, organised by the Government last week, which brought together the finest brains and key stakeholders to brainstorm on the current economic challenges.

It is expected that the Budget would spur macro-economic stability, restore good governance, structural policy reforms, infrastructure development, and enhance productivity and economic growth.
