Ghana meets with EU Ambassador on peace and security.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP) on Tuesday, 18th February, 2026 received the European Union Ambassador, His Excellency Rune Skinnebach. The discussions between the Minister and the Ambassador centered on strengthening the partnership between Ghana and the European Union with particular focus on promoting peace and security.

The Honourable Minister acknowledged that European Union remains one of the key partners of Ghana in the areas such as trade, education, security and stated that ongoing strategic engagements would further enhance the partnership.
On his part, the Ambassador demonstrated the commitment of the European Union to have an impactful and responsive partnership and assured that it would provide Ghana the needed assistance in its priority areas.
